📊 How to Create Class Summaries
Our Class Summaries feature is a powerful way to get a bird’s-eye view of how your students are performing on any given assessment. Whether you’re preparing for a parent-teacher interview, looking to refine your teaching strategies, or simply want a quick performance snapshot, class summaries give you the insight you need – fast.
✅ Why Class Summaries Are Useful
Class summaries help you:
- Quickly identify strengths and areas for improvement across your whole class
- Visualise class-wide trends to support data-informed teaching decisions
- Save time by automatically generating a ready-to-share performance overview
- Easily copy and share insights with colleagues or leadership teams
Whether you’re marking a formative quiz or a summative assessment, this feature helps you take action – not just collect data.
🧭 How to Create a Class Summary
Creating a class summary is simple:
- Go to the Assessments tab
- Click on the assessment you want to summarise
- In the top-right, click “View Class Summary”

🔔 Note: You’ll need at least 5 submissions on an assessment for the summary to be generated. This ensures there’s enough data to produce a meaningful overview.
📘 What’s Included in the Class Summary?
Here’s what you’ll see once your summary is generated:
✍️ Written Breakdown
A clear, AI-generated paragraph summarising your class’s overall strengths and the key areas where students need improvement.

📈 Performance by Question (Graph)
A visual breakdown showing how the class performed on each question. Quickly spot which questions were the most challenging and which were widely understood.

🧾 Class Results Table
A complete summary table listing every student’s result – ideal for a quick scan or deeper analysis.

🔄 Do Class Summaries Update Automatically?
- If no new submissions are added, your class summary will remain the same.
- If new submissions are received, the summary will automatically update to reflect the most recent data.
So feel free to come back later and check for updated insights!
