How to use the student summary feature
The Student Summary gives you a consolidated, easy-to-scan snapshot of how a student performed across an entire assessment. It’s built for those moments when question-by-question feedback is super detailed (and a little long) — and you want the “big picture” without losing what matters.
What you’ll use it for
Student Summary helps you:
- Quickly review overall performance without reading every comment for every question
- Spot patterns in strengths and gaps across the full assessment
- Share clear, focused next steps with students (without overwhelming them)
Where to find Student Summary
- Go to Marks & Submissions
- Find the relevant student
- Open the student’s Mark Details page
- From there, open the Student Summary

What’s included in the Student Summary?
Each Student Summary includes:
- Performance snapshot (a quick overall view of how they did)
- Strengths to build on (what the student is doing well)
- Key areas for improvement (the main gaps holding them back)
- Priority next steps (the most important actions to take next)
- Performance breakdown by question (a view of the mark scored for each question)
Using “Actions” (top right)

- Pair the summary with question feedback when a student wants more detail — but start with the summary to keep it manageable.
Why this feature matters
Student Summary is a fast, teacher-friendly way to review a student’s overall performance — and a student-friendly way to receive improvement guidance without getting lost in a wall of feedback.
