Submission Progress: Track Your Marking in Real Time

Waiting for marking to be completed can sometimes leave you wondering, “Is it almost done?” With our new Submission Progress feature, you’ll never have to guess again. This update gives you clear, step-by-step insight into how far along your submission is in the marking process — so you can stay informed and in control.

🔍 How to Access the Submission Progress Status

To view the current status of any submission:

  1. Navigate to your Submission Record page.

  2. Look for the blue ‘info’ icon next to the submission’s progress bar.

  3. Click the icon to open the Submission Progress pop-up.

📊 What the Pop-Up Shows

Once opened, the Submission Progress pop-up reveals the behind-the-scenes steps Marking.ai is taking to ensure your assessment is being marked as accurately, fairly, and efficiently as possible.

Here’s what you’ll find in the pop-up:

  • ✅ A breakdown of the marking stages, including AI analysis, rubric matching, feedback generation, and quality checks.
  • ⏳ An estimated time remaining in minutes, shown on the bottom-left of the pop-up.
  • 📈 A progress percentage, located on the bottom-right beneath the progress bar.
  • 🔄 A reminder that you can safely leave the platform and return later — your progress will be saved and updated live.

ℹ️ Note: Our AI takes a few minutes to carefully process submissions to ensure the best possible feedback. Accuracy takes a little time — but it’s worth it!

✅ When Marking is Complete

When your submission is fully marked:

  • The submission record will update to show that marking is complete.

  • The pop-up will also reflect this, with a clear “Marking Complete” status.

  • You’ll be able to click a button within the pop-up to view your full results immediately.
