Creating your account
Welcome to Marking.ai! Creating an account takes about 30 seconds. Here’s how.
Step 1: Head to the sign-up page
Go to the Marking.ai sign-up page and you’ll land on a simple form.
Step 2: Choose how to sign up
You have two options:
- Sign up with your email and password — enter your email, choose a password that meets the on-screen requirements, and click Sign up.
- Continue with Google — click the Continue with Google button and pick your Google account.
Tip: signing up with a school or work email gets you a more generous free allowance, so use your school email if you have one.
Step 3: Verify your email
If you signed up with an email and password, we’ll send a verification link to your inbox. Open the email and click the link to confirm your account.
If you signed up with Google, you can skip this step — you’re verified automatically.
Didn’t get the email? Check your spam folder, or click Resend email on the verify page.
Step 4: Get set up
Once your email is confirmed (or you’ve signed in with Google), Marking.ai takes you straight into a guided setup. You’ll be asked for your name, your feedback preferences, and then we’ll mark your first assessment together.

Already have an account?
If you’ve signed up before, head to the sign-in page and use your existing email and password (or Google) to log in.
Forgot your password? On the sign-in page, click Forgot password and we’ll send you a reset link.

FAQs
What information do I need to sign up?
Just an email address and a password — or your Google account. We’ll ask for your name and a few preferences during onboarding once you’re in.
Can I sign up with a personal email like Gmail?
Yes — though signing up with a school or work email gets you more free submissions.
What if my Google account uses a different email than my school?
You can sign up with either. If you’d rather your account be tied to your school email, use the email and password option with that address.
I didn’t get the verification email — what now?
Check your spam folder first. If it’s not there, click Resend email on the verify page. Still stuck? Drop us a line at connect@marking.ai.
Can I change my password later?
Yes. You can change it any time using the Forgot password link on the sign-in page.
