The workspace admin dashboard
If you’re an owner or admin of a school workspace, the Workspace tab in Settings is your admin dashboard — the place to see usage, manage your team, and stay on top of how things are running.
This article walks through what’s on it.
Getting there
Click your avatar in the top-right, choose Settings, then open the Workspace tab.
The tab only appears if you’re an owner or admin of a school workspace. Regular teachers and accounts without a school workspace won’t see it.
What’s on the page
Your workspace card
At the top, a summary card shows:
- The workspace name (your school)
- Your role (Owner / Admin)
- The pooled annual allowance and how much is left
- A progress bar showing usage so far this cycle
Per-teacher usage
Beneath the summary, you’ll see a table of every teacher in the workspace with:
- Their name and email
- Their role in the workspace
- The number of submissions they’ve marked this cycle
- A quick actions menu to change their role
Inviting new teachers
An Invite teacher button at the top of the page opens the invite dialog. See Inviting teachers to your workspace.
Reading usage
A few things worth keeping an eye on:
- Pooled remaining — if you’re approaching the cap, get in touch about extending capacity
- Uneven usage — if one teacher is using a disproportionate share, that’s normal in mock season but worth a chat in steady state
- Inactive members — teachers in the workspace who haven’t marked anything are still using a seat; you can remove them if they don’t need access
What admins can’t do here
- Change billing — billing is handled by the workspace Owner via the sales contact, not from this page
- See another teacher’s marks or feedback — admin access is limited to usage and roster, not student data privacy

FAQs
What’s the difference between Owner and Admin?
Owner has billing access; admins don’t. Otherwise they have the same management capabilities. See Member roles.
What if I’m in multiple school workspaces?
Each workspace appears as its own card on this page. You can switch between them within the same Marking.ai account.
Can I see what an individual teacher is marking?
You can see how many submissions they’ve marked, but not the specific assessments or student data — that stays private to each teacher’s account.
