Requesting a new feature
We’re always keen to hear what would make Marking.ai better. If there’s a feature, workflow, or quality-of-life thing you’d like to see, here’s how to tell us.
How to send a feature request
The simplest way: email us at connect@marking.ai or click the chat icon in the app.
That’s it — no separate feature-request form to fill in. Every message goes to a real person on the team who reads, responds, and adds to our shortlist.
What to include
A few things help us understand the request and act on it:
- A clear title or summary — a sentence describing the feature
- What problem it solves for you — the situation you’re in when you’d use it
- What you’d ideally see — your vision for how it works in the app
- How often you’d use it — daily? mock season? once a year?
- A workaround you’re using today — if any
Don’t worry about getting all of these perfect. Even “I wish there was a way to do X” is useful.
Examples of useful requests
- “I’d love a way to filter the submissions table by class — right now I have to use the year filter and it’s not the same thing.”
- “In mock season I share results with parents, not just students. Could the share link include a parent-friendly summary view?”
- “When I’m grading a long answer, I’d love to use Cmd-Enter to save and move to the next question.”
What happens after you send one
We’ll reply (often within a working day) to say we’ve got it. Some requests we can ship quickly; some go into our planning for a future release. We won’t always build everything — sometimes we’ll explain why — but we always read.
If we ship something based on your request, we’ll often drop you a line to let you know.

FAQs
Will I get credit for the idea?
We don’t have a public roadmap with attribution, but we genuinely appreciate every suggestion. Some teachers have shipped substantial features just by asking.
Can I see what’s on the roadmap?
Most of it lives behind the scenes for now. The big shifts get announced in the app. Ask us if you’re curious about something specific.
Is there a place to vote on existing requests?
Not today — but we keep track of every request so duplicates and themes get noticed naturally.
