Branding your shared outputs

Branding lets you add your school logo and a brand colour to the student-facing results page and your PDF exports. A nice touch when sharing results with students, parents, or your wider team.

Setting up your branding

  1. Click Settings in the top-right corner (or open the account menu).
  2. Open the Branding tab.
  3. Toggle branding on if it isn’t already.
  4. Upload your logo — a PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG up to 2 MB.
  5. Set your primary colour (and optionally a secondary colour) using the colour picker or by pasting a hex code (e.g. #0086C9).
  6. Click Save.

Where branding shows up

Once enabled, branding applies automatically to:

  • The student-facing results page opened via a share link
  • Student summary PDFs
  • Submission report PDFs
  • Class summary PDFs

No per-export setting required — if it’s on, it’s used.

What if I want branding off for one export?

Toggle branding off in Settings → Branding before downloading. Toggle it back on when you’re done. (We’re looking at per-export overrides for a future release.)

Logo tips

  • Square or near-square logos look best.
  • A transparent background works on both light and branded headers.
  • Keep the file under 2 MB.

Colour tips

  • Pick a primary colour that has enough contrast against white text and white backgrounds.
  • If you’re not sure what your school’s colours are in hex, search your school website for it or use a colour-picker tool.

FAQs

Can I have multiple brands per account?

Not today. Each account has one logo + colour set. If you teach across multiple schools and want different branding per setting, drop us a line.

Will branding affect the marks themselves?

No — branding is purely cosmetic. Marks, feedback, and content stay identical.

What if I haven’t uploaded a logo yet?

Branding is off by default. You can use Marking.ai without setting it up — outputs use a clean, neutral design until you enable branding.
