I didn't receive my verification email

After you sign up for Marking.ai, we send a verification email to confirm your address. If you haven’t received it, here’s how to troubleshoot.

Step 1: check your spam or junk folder

The single most common cause. School and work email systems sometimes flag automated emails. Look for an email from connect@marking.ai (or a marking.ai domain) in:

  • Spam or Junk
  • Promotions (if you’re on Gmail)
  • Other or Focused (if you’re on Outlook)

If you find it, click the link and you’re done. Mark it as Not spam so future Marking.ai emails arrive cleanly.

Step 2: resend the email

From the Verify your email page (the one you land on after sign-up), click Resend email. A fresh verification email is sent.

Wait a minute or two and check again — some email servers add a slight delay.

Step 3: confirm you typed the email correctly

A tiny typo in your email at sign-up means the verification was sent to the wrong address. If you suspect this:

  1. Sign up again with the correct email
  2. The new sign-up’s verification email should arrive

If you’d already used the typo email at all, drop us a line and we’ll clean it up.

Step 4: try Google sign-in instead

If your email-and-password sign-up is stuck and you have a Google account on the same email address, you can sign up with Google instead — Google sign-ins are auto-verified and skip the email step entirely.

From the sign-up page, click Continue with Google and pick your account.

Step 5: ask your IT team

If you’re on a school email, your IT department may be blocking outside emails. Ask them to allow emails from marking.ai so you can receive the verification.

Step 6: get in touch

If nothing’s working, email us at connect@marking.ai from any address and we’ll either:

  • Manually verify your account for you, or
  • Help you sign up with a different working email

FAQs

How long does the verification email take to arrive?

Usually under a minute. Sometimes longer if your school’s mail server is slow.

Verification links expire after a while for security. If yours has expired, click Resend email to get a fresh one.

Can I use Marking.ai without verifying my email?

No — verification is required so we can send you important account emails (like billing receipts). Once you’ve verified, you’re set.
